Dear Mr. Carter,
The following is in response to your generator permit review comments dated July 31, 2024. For
clarity we have included your comments in black font; our response to comments indicated in bold
italic typeface.
1. Comment: The provided plan set or main building permit does not appear to have
any notes or mark ups from the FOR pertaining to the concrete slab being designed
to accommodate the weight of the equipment or attachment to the slab. Please
provide documentation from the EOR.
Response: Generator concrete slab was review and approved by the city under the
main building permit BLD2021-0088. The documents were originally clouded under
ASI 002, and approved by the city on 0712912022.
2. Comment: The provided plans do not appear to indicate how the equipment will be
accessed for service. Please indicate service access locations and dimensions on the
plans.
Response: See revised mechanical sheet M2.1 for updated graphic showing the
rollup door opening. Note that Architectural and structural drawings incorporated
13' wide x 12' tall rollup door #1031 in the ASI 002 revisions. These revisions were
reviewed in the main building permit BLD2021-0088. The documents were originally
clouded under ASI 002, and approved by the city on 0712912022. The image below is
provided to add clarity, it is from the previously mentioned approval.

3. Comment: Please clarify and add notations to the plans in regard to the detail bugs
for room 1031/ Generator. These details may show on other plan sets but also need
to be labeled on this set as well.
Response: Detail bugs have been removed from drawings as they are not part of
the generator review scope. See updated mechanical sheet M2.1.
4. Comment: The provided plan set does not appear to indicate the location of the
exhaust outlets(s) for the generator. As part of a complete plan, provide the location
and height above grade and operable openings of the building.
Response: A 42'x60- exhaust louver has been added to the east elevation of the
building. This outlet will be ducted to the generator radiator exhaust flange. The
generator combustion exhaust is also noted. See updated mechanical sheet M2.1
and M5.0 for updated mechanical design. The mechanical louver has been located
on the architectural drawings to aid in constructability, see updated details 11A2.01
and 2/A3.11 for size and location of exterior louver,• note these have been clouded
under delta RFI 489.
5. Comment: The generator will need combustion air to operate. Please note location
of supply air.
Response: A 48'x60" intake louver has been added to the south elevation of the
building. This louver has been size to allow enough air to enter the generator room
for both combustion air and air for cooling the generator radiator. See updated
mechanical sheets M2.1 and M5.0 for updated mechanical design. The mechanical
louver has been located on the architectural drawings to aid in constructability, see
updated details 11A2.01 and 1/A3.12 for size and location of louver,• note these have
been clouded under delta RFI 489.
