The intention when the project was originally submitted was to construct the building on the
existing foundations. Based on investigations by the contractor and subsequent meeting with
the owner, engineer and architect it was decided that replacing the existing foundation is the
best course of action. To compensate for this increase in work, it has been decided to leave the
existing exterior siding and sheathing in place. Structural sheathing, where required, will be
applied at the interior surface of the exterior walls. The calculated percentage remodeled stands
at 73.25% based on the calculation form (included with revision submittals).
