PURPOSE AND SCOPE
Updates to the framing system were required on our previous site visit. Please refer to CG
Engineering Observation Report 1 dated 5/29/24.
The framing contractor has completed the updates requested and no additional revisions are required
for the structural framing system. Refer to the items below.
1. Window added to Bathroom —A window was added to the master bathroom which interrupts
the shear wall. relocate shear wall as shown and add a MST37 holdown.
COMPLETED
2. Unblocked Horizontal Sheathing Joint — At the kitchen there was a horizontal joint in the
sheathing that was not blocked. Provide blocking and panel edge nailing at the joint.
COMPLETED
Shear connection — At this location both the supporting wall and top plate are 2x4. Provide A35
@ 24" oc from the top plate to the rim and install shear wall sheathing.
COMPLETED
4. Back Wall Adjacent to Garage —At the back of the house the house, framing abuts the garage.
Provide blocking between the studs at the top and extend the sheathing from the sill plate to
the top of the wall and nailing as SW6 per plan.
