MEMORANDUM

The condominium unit at the above -referenced address is being remodeled, specifically in the kitchen. The contractor is
planning to remove two walls that currently form the sides of the pantry and a soffit over the kitchen counter will also be
removed. Prior to demolition, we have been asked to determine if the walls and soffit are part of the structural support system
for the building.
After a review of the existing drawings, we have determined that the walls and soffit in question are not part of the lateral or
vertical load resisting system, and therefore they can safely be removed. Our determination was based on the original building
drawings, which we have included on the pages that follow this memo. The contractor should verify that the framing
conditions in the field match the attached drawings.
