This investigation was conducted on the Model GSH-4-10 exhaust hood we received on September 22, 2009 and evaluated on September 28, 2009 at the Intertek Testing Laboratory in Elmendoi Texas. The exhaust hood with integral air supply plenum tested in accordance with UL710 was constructed of and supported by stainless steel not less than Type 304 0.043-in (No. 18 MSG) in thickness and stainless steel not less than 0.037-in (20 MSG) in thickness. All seams and joints of the hood enclosure that directed and captured grease -laden vapors and exhaust gases were liquid -tight, and continuously welded. Internal hood joints, seams, filter support frames and appurtenances attached inside the hood are to be sealed or otherwise made grease tight. The hood was provided with grease baffle filters that were tested and approved UL1046 Listed grease filters. The lighting TI, fixtures incorporated in hood were UL 1571 Listed Incandescent Light Fixtures. 11, We are happy to inform you that your exhaust hood is compliant to the standard listed above.
