The residence is a single -story structure with a crawl space below (not reviewed as it remains unchanged with no new loading) and a hip style truss roof above bearing primarily on the exterior walls. An existing roof framing plan copy is attached. All proposed wall removals/relocations: in the laundry, in the kitchen and in the master bathroom, are not structural and do not contain structural posts. All proposed wall removals/relocations were verified to not be a part of the house braced wall system, therefore, adequate to be removed/relocated. An existing/proposed floor plan copy is attached. The masonry fireplace is proposed to be removed in the living room (across from the kitchen). The fireplace has trusses running parallel at either side. The fireplace shaft (28" wide and 48" long within the roof) is to be filled in with 2x4 @ 24"o.c. ladder framing between the parallel structural members (at the roof and ceiling). Within the floor, ladder frame the fireplace shaft with floor joists, similar to existing. The fireplace foundation is to remain and support the ladder framing with a centered 2x4 pony wall. The master bedroom 2 ft front bump -out window wall, with 2 existing windows, is proposed to be replaced with 8ft wide slider. The bump -out wall/header supports 3 ft of roof loading (2 ft of eave and 1 ft of interior roof), at 15 psf dead roof load and 25 psf snow load, it supports 45 plf dead load and 75 plf snow load (standard gable wall roof loading). A (2)2x6 new header (min.) was verified adequate (calc sheet attached) to support the existing load with the new 8ft wide slider. If you have any further questions or I can be of any further assistance, please call me at the above number. _f A NI w a SkUz 1 23035 7 osIONAL 01/11/2025 Filipp A. Murza, P.E.
