You should be able to maintain a 4' to 5' sidewalk behind the mailbox you have approval from the mail carrier to install them in that location? Even though there is no slope to the ramp, it is still considered the ADA connection to the road. Please work with the mail carrier to find a more appropriate location for the mailbox.
