ORDINANCE NO.4419
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE CITY' S PARKING PERMIT
FEES FOR EMPLOYEES AND RESIDENTS
WHEREAS, the city periodically reviews its parking permit fees for employee parking
permits and residential parking permits; and
WHEREAS, the city council believes that the permit fees should be increased beginning
in 2026; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Subsection 8.51.040.E, related to the fees for employee parking permits, is
hereby amended to read as follows (new text is shown in underline; deleted text is shown in
E. The issuance of employee parking permits under this chapter shall be
contingent upon the payment of a $6038.00 application fee per permit for
applications received through June 29th of each calendar year. The application fee
for applications received on or after June 30th of each calendar year shall be
reduced to $3024.00. Application forms can be updated to reflect changes in the
information required by this section so long as no additional employee parking
permits are requested.
Section 2. Subsection 8.52.020.D, related to the fees for residential parking permits, is
hereby amended to read as follows (new text is shown in Utldediilc;; deleted text is shown in
D. Fees.
1. Fees for the permit shall be $1202-5-.00 for the first vehicle, $1202-5.00 for the
second vehicle and $120,14.00 for the third vehicle. No fee will be required for limited
recreational vehicle permits.
2. Fees shall be collected prior to issuance of the permit.

3. No more than three permits shall be issued to any one residence.
Section 3. Subsection 8.52.060.13, related to the fees for residential parking permits, is
hereby amended to read as follows (new text is shown in underline; deleted text is shown in
striketlii-a*gh):
B. The fee for visitor permits shall be:
1. Six Teff dollars per visitor's permit for an individual holding a valid
residential parking permit; or
2. One hundred twenty+tty-f dollars per visitor's permit for persons who
do not hold a valid residential parking permit.
Visitor's permits shall be issued in conjunction with the issuance or renewal of a
residential parking permit for those individuals who hold a valid residential parking
permit or for the calendar year or any unexpired portion thereof for other qualified
applicants.
Section 4. Severahility. If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, or phrase of this
ordinance should be held invalid or unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of
the remaining portions of this ordinance.
Section 5. Effective Date. This ordinance is subject to referendum and shall take effect
thirty (30) days after final passage of this ordinance.
