CALL TO ORDER The Edmonds Council Finance Committee meeting was called to order virtually and in the City Council Conference Room, 121 – 5th Avenue North, Edmonds, at 1:00 pm by Councilmember Chen. 2. COMMITTEE BUSINESS Councilmember Chen added a discussion of the S&P Bond Rating to the agenda by unanimous consent of the committee. 1. S&P Bond Rating Update Malinda Okerlund and Scott Bauer of Northwest Bond Advisers updated Council on the current state of the City’s S&P Bond Rating. Committee Recommendation: Informational 2. May 2026 Monthly Financial Report First Reading – Finance Kisha Post, Finance Specialist, briefed Council on the May, 2026 financial report. Committee Recommendation: Move to Received for Filing 3. Review of Updated Strategic Outlook First Reading – Finance Kisha Post, Finance Specialist, presented an overview of the previously provided strategic outlook. Utility Tax Extension First Reading – Finance Kisha Post, Finance Specialist, presented the first proposed temporary utility tax extension. Committee Recommendation: Move to Full Council Business 5. Fiscal Sustainability Task Force - Discussion on the Anatomy and Choosing of Task Force Participants First Reading – City Council Office Council President Dotsch outlined the proposed process for selecting the members of the fiscal sustainability taskforce. As Chair, Councilmember Chen extended the meeting until 2:45 pm. Committee Recommendation: Move to Consent Agenda ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 2:35 pm. Luke Lonie, City Clerk
