The Edmonds City Council meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Haakenson in the Council
Chambers, 250 5"' Avenue North, Edmonds. The meeting was opened with the flag salute.

APPROVE THE AGENDA AS PRESENTED. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
(Councilmember Petso was not present for the vote.)
2. CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS
COUNCILMEMBER MARIN MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER ORVIS, TO
APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. The agenda items
approved are as follows:
(A) ROLL CALL
(B) APPROVAL OF CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF DUNE 5, 2001
(C) ACCEPTANCE OF COUNCILMEMBER RESIGNATION
Reassign Council President Earling stated the assignments to boards and committees previously held by the vacant
Board&
Commission Council position will be reassigned in the next week. He asked Councilmembers to let him know if they
ppointments are interested in a particular board or committee.
Council President Earling also announced that the Council will interview applicants for the Public
ews Facilities District Board on Monday, June 18 and Tuesday, June 19. He requested the Council review the
list of applicants and consider the selection process. He stated he would also check with the City
Attorney regarding the selection process.

He asked the Council if they would like to meet that evening. It was the consensus of the Council to
cancel the July 3rd meeting.
Public Safety or Haakenson stated that Councilmember Plunkett had indicated he would not be able to arrive at the
Committee Public Safety Committee meeting until 7:30 p.m. He asked that the agenda for that committee be
rearranged to allow Councilmember Plunkett to be present to discuss his item (which was first on the
agenda).
The Council meeting adjourned to Committee meetings at 7:05 p.m.
