Resolution 306RESOLUTION NO. 306 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, CERTIFYING THAT CONDEMNATION AUTHORIZATION WILL BE CONSIDERED AND PROVIDED BY THE LEGISLATIVE BODY FOR THE ACQUISITION OF RIGHT -OF -WAY FOR • STREET PURPOSES. WHEREAS, Chapter 83, Laws of 1967, Extraordinary Session, provided for an Urban Arterial Program financed by gas taxes dedicated to the cities and counties, and. WHEREAS, the project from 64th Avenue to 350 feet west of 77th Avenue on 196th Street S.W. [U.A.B. No. 8 -1 -140 (06)] was approved and authorization granted to)p.roceed_e_,0,6 4 ve August 16, 1973, with the City of Lynnwood designated as administering agent, and and, WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds is designated as a joint- interest agency, WHEREAS, a certification is required from the applicable legislative body by which condemnation authorization will be considered and approved for acquisition of right -of -way if negotiations are not completed within fifteen (15) months from the date of Urban Arterial Board authorization of the preliminary proposal, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS: That it is the intention of the City of Edmonds to consider and provide condemnation authorization, if necessary, pursuant to the rules and regulations of the Urban Arterial Board.
