ORDINANCE NO. 1. Rx�
Sec-1: Be it ordained by the council of the town of Edmonda, that
every person desiring to sell, supply, dispose or offer for exchange,
any liquor, wine, beer, or any intoxicating beverage, within the in-
corporated limits of the town of Edmonds, shall make a written ap-AppL CA
plication to the town board for a license so to do, and if the same 'Ti o/v
be satisfactory, said board shall grant a license to such applicant, FOP,
and which license shall be signed by the mayor and clerk of said
board, and attested by the towu:iseal.
' Sec. 2: Be it ordained by the council of the town of Edmonds, that
I� the license fee for selling, supplying or offering for exchange, any
liquor, wine, beer or intoxicating drinks, shall be the sum of five
hundred ($500) dollars to be paid to the town clerk, who will issue FL- G-
the same if ordered by the council so to do.
Sec. 3: Be it ordained by the council of the town of Edmonds, that
no person or persons shall sell, supply or offer for exchange any 4/eL NS
liquor, wine or beer, or any other,intoxicating beverages without
first applying for and obtaining a license so to do, as provided by
Sections 1 and 2.
Any persons violating any of the provisions of this ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
shall be punished by a fine of not less than fifty ($50) dollars,nor
more than one hundred ($100) dollars, or by imprisonment in the town
or county jail for not more than three months, or by both fine and _r_(
imprisonment. Provided that a county liquor license has not been
granted for the year 1890 previous to August 7; whereas if said county
license has been granted, it shall be sufficient until its expiration.
This ordinance to take effect on and after September 22,1890.
