An Ordir_arce to provide for the lioersirg and regulatirg the
keeping of gameirg tables and bowling alleys.
Be it ordained by the Council of the Town of Edmonds.
SECTIO`u 1: Any person desiring to keep are or more bowling
Ybilliard tables pool tables pigeonhole tables, or Jerry
PP� Lird tables for hire, shall obtain a license therefor, according
cp; to the provisions of this Ordinance by- paying into the Town
Treasury a license fee as follows:
For each bowling alley, at the rate of six dollars per an -
rum; for each billiard table at the rate of six dollars per an -
rum; for each pool table at the rate of six dollars per annum;
for each pigeo'lhole table at the rate of six dollars per anr_um;
4� for each Jerry Lind gable at the rate of six dollars per arrum,
and upon fili"g the treasurer's receipt for the amolart of such
fee for a period of of less than three months with the Town
Clerk, said Clerk shall issue the proper license for such appli-
cant for 'got less than three months.
n�,� SECTTQr- 2: That any person' who shall keep ary billiard table,
U bowling alley, pool table, vigeorhole table, Jerry Li7Td table, or
a'ry other gameirg table, it a drirki"g saloon or house, or in any
building adjoirirg or attached thereto or in any ma''Irer connected
therewith and shall allow the same to be used by two or more per-
sons to determine byplay thereon, which of the persons so play-
ing shall pay for drinks, cigars, or any other articles for sale
in such saloon or drinking house, shall within the meaning of this

Ordinance be deemed to be keeping for hire and shall be subject to
license as in this Ordinance provided.
SECTION 3: That every person who by himself or any agent of,
employee shall, within the limits of the Town of Edmonds, keep,
any bowling alley, pool table, pigeonhole table, billiard table or
Jenny Lind table, without license therefor shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor and,upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in any y,j1nL
@um tot less than ten dollars nor more than fifty dollars.
