Am Ordinance approving and accepting the new and corrected sur-
vey and plan of the waterfront of the City of Edmonds, as made by
L.M.Rice, Engineer, by direction and authority of the City Council
of the Town of Edmonds, at a regular meeting of said Council held on
day of July 1903, showing the abutting upland owners, and tide
lance. s applied for by preference right of purchase; also showing Ed-
monds, Bell, George and Daytor Streets extended to the inner harbor
line of 2aget Sound; and also making and adopting said Plat as sup-
plemental to the original Plat of Edmonds.
Whereas, prior to the Second day of bpril 1903, the Board of
WW�OHarbor bard Commissioners located and established in front of the
WII- Town of Edmonds ( a Municipal corporation of the Fourth Class?; an
inner and an outer harbor lire; and
Whereas; the �'ity Cour,czl of the T o rr of Edmonds did, orthe
13th day of Lugczst 1903, by resolution, authorize and employ L.M.
Mice as .Civil Engineer, to make a survey and plan of the water front
of the Town of Edmonds, aYa t o draw and submit the plans thereof to
this Council; and,whereas,said L.M.Rice has made such survey and
presented such plan to this Council for its approval and acceptance;
-and
Whereas; the Tide Land Commissioners of the County of Snohomish
f.�State of Washington, did not extend Edmonds Street, Bell Street,
George Street and Dayton Street over and across the Tide Lands in
front of the said To*n of Edmonds, and
Whereas, none of said lands have been sold by the State of
Washington_, but applications for the purchase of some of said Tide
lands are now pending before the Board of State Land Commissioners
of the State of Washington; and

,r Whereas; all the parties interested in the_.applieations for such
urchase of such Tide lands, or having the right to make such appli-
�, cations for the purchase of the same, over and across that part
thereof where each of said Streets are by this Ordinance caused to
exterd, have released and Quit Claimed to the Town of Edmonds all
their claim of prior right to purchase the same, and all their right,
title and ir_terest in and to the Tide lands over which such streets
are by this Ordinance caused to extend.
Therefore; be it ordained by the Council of the Town of Ed-
mords as follows:
SECTIOr 1: That Edmonds Street, Bell Street and George Street
be, and are hereby each,exterded and established from the Westerly
crd� terminus of each of paid respective streets; northwesterly over and
�J across any uplands and the tide lands produced T orthwesterly to
the outer harbor lines of said Tide Lands, having the same width and
direction of the lines of said streets respectively; and Dayton
Street be, and is hereby, extended and established from its Westerly
terminus to the meander lire of 2aget Sourd; thence Southwesterly

along the Easterly side of the waterway established by said Tide
Land Commissioners to a point sixty feet Southwesterly from the
Southeast corner of said waterway; therce r:orthwesterly alorg the
Southerly side of said waterway to the outer harbor line of Puget
Sound; all of said streets so exterded and established beirg here-
by declared to be sixty feet wide throughout their entire lergth. /�
SECTIO, 2: That said Plat is in all things hereby accepted,U ex
approved and confirmed, and is declared to be supplemental to the
original Plat of Edmonds.
SECTIOX 3: That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and
rected to rote upon the face of said Plat the acceptance, approval ..AM

corfirmatior thereof by the City Council of the Town of Ed-
monds, and to affix to the said Plat the corporate seal of the
Town of Edmonds.
SECTIOU 4: That upon the passage and approval of this Ordi- wath
ranee, if approved by the Mayor, or upon its becoming a legal and
valid ordinance under the laws of the State of Washingtor, the said
City Clerk shall file said Plat in the office of the County Lu.ditor
of Snohomish County, State of Washington.
This Ordirance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and approval, and if approved by the Mayor, other-
wise it shall take effect at the time it shall become a law urder�
the laws of the State of Washington.
Passed the Council September 19th, 1903, and signed by me it
