An Ordinance requiring Bonds from Contractors contracting to do public work within the City of Edmords, conditioned to pay laborers and others.
The City Council of the City of Edmonds do ordain as follows:
SECTION l: Whenever the City Council of the City of Edmonds
shall contract with any person or corporation to do any work for

the City of Edmonds, such person or corporation with whom such con -
'tract is to be made shall execute ard deliver to the City Council
I�a good and sufficient Bor_d with two or more sureties,, or with a
surety company as surety, corditioned that such person or persons
shall faithfully perform all the conditions of such contract and
pay all laborers, m+echar_ics, sub -contractors and material men, and
all persons who shall supply such persons, or sub-eort-ractors with
provisiors and sspplies for t1.e carrying on of such work.
SECTTOL 2: The Bond,mer_vioned:sir Section 1 of this Ordinance,
aj o shall be in ar amouxt equal to Fifty 2ercent.(50%) of the contract
price agreed to be paid for such work or improvementar_d shall be
approved by the Cit,;. Couieil and filed in the office of the City
C? er7r . Said Bo ^d shall run to the City of Edmonds and all persons
interested therein shall have all the rights of action thereon,
provided by Chapter 207 of the Laws of 1909 of the State of Wash-
irgton.
