An Ordinance regulating and preventing obstructions to streets
and alleys of the City of Edmonds, and providing a penalty for the
violation thereof.
The City Council of the City of Edmonds do ordair_ as follows:
SECTIO1 1: It shall be unlawful for any person to drive, wheel,
V or draw upon any sidewalk within the limits of the City of Edmonds
any vehicle, except hand carriages for children and barrows or
trucks for the purpose of receiving or delivering goods, and no per-
son having the charge or control of any beast of burden shall in-
tertionally cause or permit the same to stand upon_ any street cross-
ir_,g or upon any public wharf or dock, or so near thereto as to ob-
struct the same.

VSECTIOL 2: It shall be unlawful for any railway company, con- �'7& VW
ductor, engir_eer or brakeman to permit any train, car or engir_,e
to staid upon any street crossing within the limits of the City of
Edmonds.
>� �:ECTIOT 3: Any person by whom, or under whose immediate author du,"
it, ws prircipal or contractor, or employee, any portion of a public
street or alley may be made dangerous, shall erect, and so lor_g as
the danger shall exist or cortinue, maintair around the portior of
the street or alley so made dangerous, a food and sufficient barrier
and shall protect the same by lights at night.
kl'SECTIOI= 4: Igo persor shall lead or drive any animals on any ofrr
the sidewalks of the City. And no person shall drag any log or f
timber or, any improved street within the City of Edmonds. p
SECTIOE 5: ho person shall throw or deposit upon any public flit� fi.+
street or alley, or upon any private premises, except in such places
as shall be designated by the City Council, any glass, metal or
broker_ ware, dirt, rubbish, garbage or filth.

SECTIOT� 6: Lo person shall occupy any portion of any street k�
or alley for the deposit of building material without first obtain-
ing a permit therefor from the City Council.
G� SECTIOr 7: A violation of any of the provisions of this. Ordi-j G t�I
ranee shall be deemed a misdemeanor and upon corviction thereofs
the offender may be fined in any sum less than Ore Hundred Dollars.
SECTIOE 8: All Ordirances and part of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
