An Ordinance regulating the use and occupation of and the
conduct
onalleys and
persons in or upon the streets,, boulevards, drives, U
an public places in the City of Edmonds, Washington, anV�
providing for the comfort, convenience and safety of the public
in the use of the same, and providing penalties for violations
thereof.
The City Council of the City of Edmonds, Washington, do or-
dain as follows:
SECTION 1: It shall be unlawful for any person to ride,drive'
or propel any automobile, autocycle or other motor vehicle, ex-
cept such as may be used by City authorities, at a greater rate ,
of speed than ten (10) miles per hour, along, over, or through
any public street or place within the district bounded and de-
scribed as follows, towit:
Beginning or the T orth side of Main Street at the West Mar-
ginal line of Railroad Street, thence Easterly along the forth
side of 'gain Street to the West side of Front Street, thence
Northerly along the west side of Front Street to the north side of
Edmonds Street, thence Easterly along the north marginal line of � tlo
Edmonds Street to the West side of Third Street, thence L ort herly
along the west side of Third Street to the forth side of Daley �,c�C'( TqG
Street, thence Easterly along the north marginal line of Daley
Street to the East side of Sixth Street, thence Southerly along
the East marginal line of Sixth Street to the South side of Dayton's
Street, thence ;7esterly alorg the South marginal line of Dayton
Street to the West side of Railroad Avenue, thence northerly a-
long the West marginal, line of Railroad Averue t o the J orth side
Of Idain Street and the place of beginning, or at a greater rate
of speed than fi.fteer (15) miles per hour, along, on, through or
over any Street or public place within the limits of the City of
Edmonds.
SECTIOF 2: ` Any person who shall .pail to comply with any of�
the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemea guilty of a mis .r
demeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a sine
in any sum not exceeding One Hundred. Dollars (�100.00), or by im-
prisonment in the City jail for a term not exceeding thirty (30)��
days or by both such fire and imnrisonment, and each day any per
son shall continue to violate or fail to comply with any of the
provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed and considered a
separate offense.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force by virtue
of its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
