� An ordinance establishing, defining and providing for the
((+�� of funds and creating departments therefor in the City of
Edmonds, Washington.
The Uity Oounci�l of the City of Edmonds do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: The following departments are hereby established
or the division of the different funds of the City of Edmonds,
ashington.
1 The Park Department into which shall be placed all gifts
to, revenues derived from, and appropriations that the City
Council may make from time to time for; and from which shall be
paid all the expenses of operation, maintenance and improvement
of the public parks of the City.
2. The Library, Department, into which shall be placed all
ofts to, revenues 4erived from and appropriations that the City
uncil may make from time to time for; and from which shall be
paid all the expenses of operation, improvementand maintenance
of the Edmonds Free Public Library.
3. The Dock Department, into which shall be placed all gifts
to, revenues derived from and appropriations that the City Council
may make from time to time for; and from which shall be paid all
/111/-c-c the expenses of operation, improvement and maintenance of the
Edmonds Dock.
4. The Current Expense Department into which shall be placed
�1 all gifts to the City not otherwise designated, all revenues de-
rived from the different functions and agencies of the City not
otherwise designated and provided for and appropriations that the
City Council may make fm.m time to time for, and from which shall
be paid the salaries of the City's officials and all the expenses
of operation, impro-4ement and maintenance of the City government
not otherwise provided for.
5. The Health Department, into which shall be placed all
ifts to, all revenues derived from, and appropriations that the
AACity Council may make from time to time for the general health
and sanitation of the City, and from which shall be paid all the
expenses of operation, improvement and maintenance of the general
good health and sanitation o:C. the City.
6. The Fire Department, into which shall be placed all the

�t.�,p"_ , gifts to, all revenues derived from and appropriations that the
City Council may make from time to time for, and from which shall
be paid all the expenses of operation, improvement and maintenance
of the fire departm nt and for the prevention of and protection
from fire in the 6i:y.
7. The Street Department, into which shall be placed all
gifts to, all revenues derived from, and appropriations that the
City Council may make from time to time for, and from which shall
be paid all of the expenses of operation, improvement and main-
tenance of the streets and other public thoroughfares of City not
otherwise provided for.
8. The Police Department, into which shall be paid all
gifts to, revenues derived from, and appropriations that the City
r, Council may make from time to time for, and from which shall be
V paid all the expenses of the operation, improvement and mainten-
ance of the Police Department of the City.

9. The Clerk's Department, into which shall be paid all gifts
to, revenues derived from., and appropriations that the City Council aviv,
may make from time to time for, and from which shall be paid all the
expenses of operation, improvement and maintenance of the clerical
department of the City.
10. The Treasurer's Department, into which shall be placed G"
all taxes collected by, all gifts to, revenues derived from, and
appropriations that the City Council may make from time to time for,
and from which shall be paid all the expenses of the operation, im-
provement and maintenance of finarcirg the City government.
11. The Engineer's Department, into which shall be placed
all gifts to, revenues derived from, and appropriations that the
City Council may make from time to time for, and from 77hich shall._
be paid all the expenses of the pperation, improvemert, and main-

tenance of the Engineering Department of the City.
12. The Attorney's Department, into which shall be placed all/
gifts to, revenues derived from, and appropriations that the City o�-�
Council may make from time to time for, and from which shall be e
paid all the expenses of operation, improvement and maintenance of
the legal department of the City.
SECTION 2: All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTIOU 3: This Ordinance shall take effect according to its
passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
