An Ordinarce, granting to the Union Oil Company, of Califor-
�ri.a, a corporation, its successors and assigns, permission to lo-
cate, erect, operate, and maintain a warehouse or tankage, or
oth, for the storage, sale and distribution of petroleum and its
products; beginning at the Eortheast corner of the intersection
of Great T:orthern Railroad right-of-way and Dayton Street; thence
East a distance of 604 feet; thence at right angles a distant e
of 265 feet; thence West, parallel with Dayton Street a distant e
of 372 feet to the Great E orthern Railroad right-of-way; thence
in a Southwesterly direction parallel with said Great rorthern
Railroad right-of-way a distance of 351 feet to place of beginning,
situated in a portion of Lot 3.
The people of the City of Edmonds do ordain as follows:
It SECTIM' 1: The Union Oil Company of Califorria, a Corpora-
tion, having asked permissior to locate, erect, operate and main-
; twin a warehouse or tankage, or both, for the storage, sale and
e, MYstributior of petroleum and its products beginning at the
ortheast corner of the intersection of Great l orthern Railroad
I right-of-way and Dayton Street; thence East a distance of 604
feet; then at right angles a distance of 265 feet; thence west
Pt parallel with Daytor Street a distance of 372 feet to the Great
Eortherr Railroad right-of-way; thence in a Southwesterly direc--
tior parallel with said Great T ortherr Railroad right-of-way a
distance of 361 feet to place of beginning, situated in a portion
of Lot 3, and the request having beer duly considered by the
common. Council in regular session assembled, it is hereby or-
dained and permission is hereby given and granted the Union Oil
company of California, a corporation, its successors and assigns,
to locate, erect, ❑perate and maintain a warehouse or tankage, or
bath for the storage, sale and distribution of petroleum and its
products on the tracts of land hereinbefore described.
SECTIO% 2: The said Union Oil C onpary of Calif orria, a cor-
poration, shall bear all costs incident to the passage and publi-
cation of this Ordinance.

SECTION 3: Inasmuch as it is necessary for the general wel-
fare of the people of the City of Edmonds that this measure be
adopted forthwith, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, an'
this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage by the common Council and its approval by the Mayor.
