Ar Ordinance providing for the improvemert of Bain Street
from the end of the present pavement on Fifth Street to the west
line of Firth Street, by the construction of a concrete pavement
twelve (12) feet wide on each side of said Street extending from
the outer gutter line, also all Street intersections to be paved
full width and extend on cross Streets to the inner sidewalk
lines of Main tree a *the cle�x �d,„„ina and graveling
of said Main S� aeoyt ��` Ci" units, and doing
all other work necessary to make a complete improvement in ac-
cordance with Resolution r� o.45, of the City of Edmonds; creating
at assessment district; creating a Local Improvement District
Fund therefor, and providing that payment for such improvement
be made by special assessment on said district under the mode
of "payment by Bondl".
WHEREAS, by Resolution ro.45 of the City of Edmonds, the City
Council of said City has declared its intention to order the im-
provement as above outlined, and doing all other work necessary in
aonro otion therewith to make a complete improvement in accordance with
the plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer;
IOW THEREFORE, the City of Edmonds does ordain:
SECTIO, 1: That Main Street, from the end of the present
pavement on Fifth Street to the Wiest line of linth Street, be

improved by the eorotruction of a.concrete pavement twelve (12)
feet wide or each side of said Street, extending ffom the outer
gutter line, also al Street intersections to be paved full width
and extend on cross Streets to the irrer sidewalk lines -of Bain
Street, also the clearing, grading, and graveling of said Main
Street from the Wesj line of Firth Street East therefrom to the
City limits, and doing all other work r6cessary to make a com-
plete improvement i# accordance with the plans and specifications
prepared under the direction of the City Ergireer, which plans
and specifications are hereby adopted and approved.
SECTIO 2: Th4t the costs and expenses of such improvement
shall be borne by a d assessed against the property included it
the assessment list ict herein created in accordarce with law.

SECTI01, 3: There is hereby established a Local Improvement
District to be called Local Improvement District Fo.43, which
district shall ircluide the followir_g described property, towit:
Lots 16 to 32 Inclusive, Block "B", Plat of the City of Ed-
monds. i
Lots 1 to 20 i�clusive, Block 120, Plat of the City of Ed-
morels.
Lots 21 to 40 i�nelusive, Block 98, Plat of the City of Ed-
mords.
Lots 1 to 20 inclusive, Block 97, Plat of the City of Edmonds.
Lots 21 to 40 i�alusive, Block 87, Plat of the City of Edmonds.
Lots 1 to 20 inclusive, Block 88, Plat of the City of Edmonds.
Lots 20 to 38 inclusive, Block 78, P lat of the City of Edmonds.
Lots 1 to 19 irblusive,Block 77,21at of the -City -of Edmonds.
Lots 21 to 40 irclusive,Block 67,Plat of the City of Edmonds.
Lots 1 to 20 irclusive,Block 68,21at of the City of Edmonds.

SECTI01' 4: A special fund is hereby created to be called
Local Improvemert District Fund lo.43, which shall oorsist in the
aggregate of the several amourts assessed, levied and collected
or the several lots and parcels of land in Said Local Improvement
District, and the proceeds of the sale of the Bands of the said
district, for the purpose of defraying the costs and expenses of
such improvement. 04t of said fund shall be paid the Bonds, the
interest thereon and the entire cost of such improvement.
SECTI OF 5: The costs and expenses of such impr ovemeL t shall
be defrayed by special assessments, payable in ten (10) equal
annual install,-nerts, with interest thereon at the rate of eight
(80) percert per arrum, under the mode of "Payment by Bonds", as
provided by la,`: and the Ordinances of said City.
Bonds bearirg interest at the rate of eight (8%) percent
per arrum, payable or or before twelve (12) years from date of
issue shall be issued it paymert of the Qost and expense of such
improvement, or the City of Edmonds may, at its eleatior, sell
said Bonds and make paymert it cash it the maxner provided by the
Ordinances of said City.
