Ar 0rdinance providing for the creation of a new Fund of the
City of Edmonds to be known as the "City Street .Fond", and provid-
ing that all funds of said City for the construction, alteration,
repair, improvement and maintenance of its Streets shall be de-
posited in and expended from such Fund, and declaring an emergency.
Be it ordaired by the City Council of the City of Edmords :
SECTIOE 1: That pursuant to the provisions of Sections 62 and
04 of Chapter 187, 1937 Session Laws of the State of Washington,
there is hereby created and established for the City of Edmonds a
new fund, it the Treasury thereof, which fund is hereby designated
"City Street Fund".
SECTIO1 2: That all claims against the City of Edmonds, for
Street purposes, maturing prior to May 1, 1937, shall be paid out
of present funds in which moneys for :._ purpose have been budgeted
and deposited.
SECTIOL 3: That after the payment of all such claims for
Street purposes maturing prior to May 1, 1937, all moneys left re-
maining in the Current Expense Fund, or any other fund, in which 10�
moneys for Street purposes have been deposited be, ars the same 1147�
are, hereby transferred to said "City Street Fund": and all riioneysl- rJ
heretofore budgeted and levied for the construction, alteration,
repair, improvement and maintenance of the City Streets and credi-
ted to either the Garrett Expense, or any other fund, or any moneys
hereafter budgeted or levied for similar purposes, shall be when
received deposited in and expended from said "City Street Fund".
SECTIOL 4: The governing authorities of the City of Edmoiads�G
are authorized to expend funds from or register Warrants against
said"City Street Fund"iri anticipation of reimbursement thereof from
funds credited or to be credited to the City of Edmonds in the Motor
Vehicle Fund of the State of Washington.
SECTI01 5: An emergency is hereby declared to exist and. this
Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect fiveyy'�
(5) days from and after the date of its publication.
