An Ordinance providing for the office of chief deputy marshal and
deputy marshals of the City of Edmonds, providing for their appoint-
-ment,fixing t' . =r compemsation, providing for their bonds.
THE CITY Councill.of'the city of edmonds does ordain as follows;
SECTIOL 1. That the office of chief deputy marshal of the City of
Edmonds is hereby created. That the chief deputy marshal shall be
invested with full police powers and be -ruder the direction of theChief
of Police.That the chief deputy marshal shall be a poirted by the
mayor and shall receive a salary in the sum of 2en(10.00) Dollars
per month. The bond of said chief deputy marshal shall be fixed at
Five hundred (500.00) Dollars and the premium therefore shall be paid
by the City.
SECTIOI 11.That the offices of deputy marshals of the City, of
Edmonds are hereby created. That the deputy marshals shall be invested
with full police powers and be the direction of the chief deputy
marshal and chief of police, That the mayor may appoint as many deputy
marshals as he shall deem necessary. The deputy marshals are to receive
no salary from the City. Each deputy marshal shall furnish a bond of
Five hundred (500.00) Dollars the premium of which shall be paid by
the City. Passed by the Council this 21st day of February 1939 and
approved as of the same date.
