ORDIEAICE T O. 525
Ar Ordinance adapting the Budget of and levying general
taxes for the City of Edmonds, Washirgton for the fiscal year
commencirg January 1, 1940 on all ta7able property, both real
and persoral, it said city, for the prupose of raising sufficient
revenue to carry on the different departments of said City for
the ersuirg year, as required by law, appropriating the same to the
several funds for said fiscal year and providing for the collectior
thereof.

fore adopted its prelimirary Budget for the Year 1940, and

required by law, was held -or the second day of October, 1909,

The City Council of the City of Edmonds does Ordain as
follows:
SECTIOI 1: That the Budget for the City of Edmords for
the year 1940 is hereby adopted and the total appropriations and
the taxes levied therefor shall be apportiored to the various

SECTIOI 2: That there be and there is hereby levied or all
the real and personal property of the City of Edmonds, subject to
taiation therein, a general tax for Mlinicapal purposes for the
ensuing year commencing January 1st, 1940, the sum of Seven Thous-
and Three Hundred Party -five ($7,345.00) Dollars.
SECTIOI 3: This Ordirance shall be certified tothe proper
County officials as provided by Law, and the taxes herein levied
shall be collected and paid irto`the City Treasury of the City of
Edmonds, at the time and in the manner provided by the LL_ws of the
State of Washington for the collections of taxes for Third Class
Cities.
