An Ordinance prohibiting minors under Sixteen (16) years of age
from being on the streets, avenues, alleys., docks, or other public
places, within the City of Ednonds, during certElin hours of the
niht, and prescribing penalties ,for the violation thereof.
BE IT O AIJED Ef THE CITY CO[JLOIL O' THE CITY 01' EDivIOivDS:
Section 1: It shall be and is hereby declared unlawful for any
person of persons, male of female, under the age of Sixteen (16)
years, to congregate, loiter, or be upon the streets, avenues, alleys,
docks, or other public places, within the limits of the City of
Edmonds, during the months of May, June, July, August or Septem-
ber, between the hours of ten o'clock P. M., and five o' cloak
A. M., and during the remaining months of the year between the
hours of nine -thirty o'clock P. M., and five o'clock 16. M.,
unless such person or persona shall be accompanied by his, her
or their parent, guardian or other person having..the legal custody
of such minor, or some other member of the family over twenty -
ore years of age, providing that this Ordinance shall not apply
to such person or persons who are required to be in or upon such
public place by reason of actual employment.
Section 2: The time herein referred to shall mean United States
Pacific War Time.
Section 5: Any person violating any of the provisions of this
Ordinance, or any parent, guardian or other person having the
legal custody or care of such minor person or persons, described
in Section: 1 of this Ordinance, , and who shall permit or suffer
such minor person or persons to go or be in or upon any of the
streets or other public places, as aforesaid, within the times
mentioned in .Section 1 hereof, except as therein provided, shall
be deemed guilty_of a misdeameanor, and upon conviction thereof
shall be fined in.any sam not exceeding nifty ( 50.00) Dollars
or be confined in the City Jail for a period not exceeding ten
(10) days or shall be punished by both such fine or imprisonment.
