Ordinance 578-ORDINANCE no. 578 AE 'Ordinance approving and confirming the assessment and Assessment moll of Local Improvement District No. 57 for the improvement of r'roflt Street and lain Street North to the City limits; the improvement of Second Street from Main Street to Edmonds Street; the improvement of Fifth Street from Bell Street to Edmonds Street; the improvement of Bell Street from Front Street to Fifth Street; the improvement of Edmonds Street from Front Street to Sixth Street; the, improvement of Daley Street from Third Street to Seventh Street and the improvement of Geln Street from Sixth to Seventh Street and the improvement of Sprague Street from Fourth Street to Sixth Street, by. grading and levelling the above described streets and paving said streetz with a bituminous road type paving mix, together with the install- ation, along said Streets, of standard curbs and gutters where such do not presently exist, and such other work as may be necessary to make a complete improvement; providing that the payment for said improvement be made by special assessment on. the property in said improvement district under the mode of payment by bonds for material used, fixed estimate, and all other expenses, except that forty (40%) per cent of the cost of paving, including the preparation for paving, shall be paid by the City of Edmonds from the Street Fund. Now therefore, the City Council of the City of Edmonds does ordain; Section 1. That the assessment and Assessment roll of Local Improvement District No. 57 for the improvement of Front Street from Main Street North to the City limits; the improvement of Second Street from Main Street to Edmunds Street; the improvement of Fifth Street from Bell Street to Edmonds Street; the improvement of Bell Street from Front Street to FIDfth Street; the ,improvment fo Edmonds Street from Front Street to Sixth Street; the. improvement of Daley Street from Third Street to Seventh Street.; the improvement of Glen Street from Sixth Street to Seventh Street and the improvement of Sprague Street from Fourth Street to Sixth Street by grading and lev- elling the above described streets and paving said streets with a bit- uminous road type paving mix, together with the installation, along said streets of standard curbs and gut'bers where such do not presently 4 '23 exist, and such other work as may be necessary to make a complete improvement, providing that the payment for said improvement be made by special assessment on the property in said improvement district under the mode of payment by bonds form aterials used, fixed estimate, and all other expenses, except that forth (40%o) per cent of the cost of paving, i>>cluding the preparation for paving, shall be paid by the City of Edmonds from the Street Eund, all in accordance with Resolution No. 114 of the City Council of the City -of Edmond:., which Improvement District was created under Ordinance No. 558 of the City of Edmonds, and all of the assessments and the Assessment Roll, as the same now stands, be and the same is hereby in all things approved and confirmed. Section 2. That each of the lots, tracts and parcels of land or other property shown on said Assessment moll, is hereby _declared to be specially. benefited by said improvement in at laast the amount charg- ed against the same is in proportion to the several assessments app- earing upon said i o11 and there is hereby levied an assessraen_t against each lot, tract and parcel of land and other property appearing upon siad Roll the amount finally charged against the same thereon. Section 3. That the 23rd day of January 1948 is hereby fixed as the date for the issuance of the bonds required to be issued on account of said improvement. Section 4.
