WHEREAS, by petition duly eigned and conforming to law, submitted
to the City Council of the City of Edmunds on March 16, 1957, petition-
ing for the improvement, as above outlined, and doing all other work
necessar;, in connection therewith to make a comple‘e improvement in ac-
cordance with the 1.1ans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer,
NCW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF ThE• CITY OF EDMONDS DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That ,ad Avenue Ncrth, from its intersection with Casper
St. on th North to itL intersection with Edmonds Street on the South, in
the Cit, of Eamonus, 4...shine.tcn, be improved by the construction of curbs
and blacr: top surfa,ing and such other work as may be necessary to make a
.complete strc•..,, improvement, and providing further that that portion of
the Baia Second Avenue North lying within Wickstrom's Sunset Addition,
and bounded en the west by lots 1, 2, ., and 4, ana on the east by lots
c, 7, ,9, 10 and 11 of the saiu Wickstrom's Sunset Addition be
further improved by the installation of concrete sidewalks and such other
wurk as may be necessary to makea cuwl.lute improvement.
Section 2, That the cost anu ex;ense of such improvement shall be

property owners desiring to have their property impruved by the install-
ation of sidewalks within the local improvement district h„reinefter
set forth may do so by signing a contract, in writing, authorizing the
contractor to install sidewalks in accordance with his bid and at the
same price as he bids for the installation e:_ c sidewalks in that
portion of this LID located within Wickstrou „ueset Addition.
Section 3. That there is hereby estac1is.ec a Local Improvement
District to be called Local Improvement District No. 79, which district
shall include the following described property, to -wit:
Beginning at a point on the North margin of Edmonds Street, 136 ft.
northwesterly from the Northwest corn: of 3rd Ave. and Edmonds St. in
the gity of Edmonds; thence NW along said north margin 239 feet; thence
N 32 27'00" E. 12u.77 ft;.�thence N ;5°1;' W 60.66 ft; thence N 32°21'35" E.
144.4b feet; thence J 5c 32'G" E 57.93 feet; thence N 31°26'40" E, along
the W boundary of Plat of Sunset Addition, and said boundary produced,
a distance of 430.92 ft; th Northwesterly 40 ft. more or less to a line
parallel with and 120 ft northwesterly from (as measured at right Angles)

Section The cost and exl.ense of such Improvement shall be de-
frayed by special assessment, payable in ten (10) equal installments,
with interest thereon at a rate not to exceed 5% per annum, payable
annually, under the moae of payment by bonds, as provided by law and
the Ordinances of said City. bonds beer'ng interest at the rate of
not to exceed 5% per annum, payable on or before twelve years from the
date of issue, shall be issued in payment of the costs and expenses of
such improvement, or the City of Edmonds may, at its election, sell
