ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AM ENDING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE COMPRE-
HENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, MORE SPECIFICALLY, OFFICIAL
MAI A (DESIGNATED THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN) OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
PURSUANT TO THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO SAID CirY,
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER To EFFECT SUCH CHANGES AS ARE
NECESSARY.
WHEREAS, on June 27, 1961, the City Council of the City of Edmonds passed
Ordinance No. 887 of the City of Edmonds, annexing certain reallp: operty to the said
City, effective .July 26th, 1961, and
WHEREAS, the comprehensive plan of the City of Edmonds should be
augmented and amended to include thereunder the property so annexed, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS DOES ORD.t iN, AS
FO LLOWS:
Section 1. That City Enffineers' drawing No. i� _ incorporating
the property hereinafter described within the comprehensive plan of the City of
Edmonds as shown by the official map thereof, three copies of which drawing are
attached hereto and incorporated herein by rf erence as though fully set forth herein,
and three copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby adopted.
Section 2. That the Comprehensive plan for the City of Edmonds set forth
in Chapter 12.04, et seq., of the Edmonds City Code, and Official Map A of said
City, be and the same are hereby amended to incorporate therein the following de-
scribed prol.ertv:
Beginning at a point on the City Lrnits of Edmonds at the intersection of the west
line of Primary State Highway No. 1 and the north line of 224th St. S.W.; thence
east to the intersection of the easte rly line of primary State Highway No. 1 with
the north line of 224th S.W.; thence east along the north line of 224th Street
S.W. to the west line of the Pacific Northwest Traction Company R/W; thence southerly
along said west line of the Pacific Northwest Traction Company R/W to the north line
of southeast quarter of southwest quarter of southwest quarter, sec. 29, twp. 27 NR 4,
EWM, said line being the City Limits of Mountlake Terrace under Ordinance No. 234;
thence west along said city limits to the northwest corner of aforesaid southeast quarter
of southwest quarter of southwest quarter of section 29; thence south along the city
limits line of Mountlake Terrace and said 1 ne extended to the south margin of 228th
Street S.W.; thence east along said south margin to an intersection with a line 16-1/2
feet westerly of and parallel to the c nteriine of Pacific Northwest Traction Company
R/W; thence southerly along said parallel line to the intersection of a line 120 feet
northerly and parallel to the south line of Government Lot 5, Section 32; thence east
along said parallel line and line extended to the easterly margin of the shorelands
adjacent thereto; thence southerly and easterly along said shoreland boundary to an

intersection of the northerly production of she easterly lmargin of Lot 13, Block 8,
Lake Ballinger Land Company's plat Subdivision No. 1 according to plat thereof;
thence southeasterly along said lot margin to the southeast corner of said Lot 13;
thence southerly to the most westerly corner of Block 9 of above mentio. ed plat
of Lake Ballinger Land Company's Plat Subdivision No. 1; thence south 30 feet to
the south margin of Snohomish County; thence west along said south margin to an
intersection with the easterly margin of P.K.H.No. 1; thence northerly along
said easterly margin to an intersection with the north line of 228th Street S.W.;
the ice west to the intersection of 228th Street S.W. with the westerly nargin of
Primary State Highway No. 1 and the existing City Limits of Edmonds; t.►ence
northerly along said westerly margin of Primary State Highway No. 1 and existing
City limits of Edmonds to the point of beginning, LESS the following described tracts
constituting the site of the City of Mountlake Terrace Lake Ballinger Sewage Lift
Station:
A portion of lots 24 and 25 in Block 7 of Lake Ballinger Land Co.'s
Plat Subdivision No. 1, arecorded in volume 9 of plats on pages 57 and
58, records of Snohomish County, Washington, described as follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of said Lot 25 and running
thence S 88°25'43" east along the south line of said Lot 25 a distance
of 75 feet and thence N 47°31' 15. E 14.38 feet to an intersection
with the northerly margin of 244th St. S.W. (now 10.00 feet north
of and parallel with the south line of said lots) and the point of
beginning of this description; thence N 88°25'43 W alonq said
northerly margin of 244th St. S.W. 15 feet; thence N 21 43'25
E, 63.91 feet; thence S 88°25'43" E 55 feet; thence S 47°31'15"
W 86. 29 feet to the point of beginning;
AND
A portion of Lot 25 in Block 7 of Lake Ballinger Land Co.'s Plat Sub-
division No. 1, recorded in volume 9 of plats on pages 57 and 58, records
of Snohomish County, Washington, described as follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of said Lot 2a and running thence
S 88°25'43" east along the south line of said Lot 25 a distance of 75 feet
and thence N 47°31' 15 E 14.38 feet to an intersection with the northerly
margin of 244th St. S. W. (now 10.00 feet north of and parallel with
the south line of said lot) and the point of beginning of this description;
thence continuing N 47°31'15" E 86.29 feet; thence S 134'17 W 35.00
feet; thence S 47°31'15" W 35.95 feet; thence N 88°25'43' W along said
northerly margin of 244th Street S.W., 36.18 feet to the point of
beginning;
all situate in Snohomish County, State of Washington.
Section 3. That the City Engineer of the City of Edmonds is hereby
directed to effect the necessary changes pursuant to this Ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication
according to law.
