AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF EDMONDS
UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF 1945, CHAPTER 128, RCW Sec. 35.13. 130,
35. 13. 140, 35.13. 150, AND COMPLYING WITH THE PROCEDURE THEREIN SET
FORTH___
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS DOES ORDAIN:
• Section 1. That there has been filed with the City Council a petition in
writing, signed by the owners of morethan 75% of the assessed value of property
according to the assessed valuation of the real property described in said petition;
thht said petition sets forth a legal description of said real property; that said petition
w as accompanied by a plat or drawing outlining the boundaries of property sought
to be annexed.
Section 2. That Tuesday, th 15th day of August, 1961, was set as a date
for a public hearing on said petition; that notice of such hearing has been published
in the Edmonds Tribune Review, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
Edmonds; that notice of such hearing was also posted in more than three public places
within the area proposed for annexation; that said notices specified the time and place
of such hearing and invited interested persons to appear and voice approval or dis-
approval of the annexation; that the expense of publishing and posting of notices, and
all other expense of this annexation, is to be borne by the signers of the petition;
that said Learing has been duly held.
Section 3. That the following described property, located in the County
of Snohomish, State of Washington, to -wit:
Beginning at a point on the north line of the Edmonds Corporate Limits,
said point being the SE corner of Lot 92, Edmonds Seaview Tracts, according to
recorded plat thereof; thence north a A northeasterly along the easterly line of
• lots 92 to 68 of said plat, inclusive, to the intersection of the projection of the
easterly line of lot 68 with the southwesterly line of lot 42; thence northwesterly
along the southwesterly line of said Lot 42 to the SW corner thereof; thence north-
easterly along the west line of Lot 42 to the northwest corner thereof; thence westerly
along the south line of Lot 19, Bh ,:k 1, Plat of Seahurst, according to the recorded
piat thereof to the SW c )rner of said Lot 19, Block 1; thence northeasterly along the
c 3erly margin of 94th Ave. West to the most southerly corner of Lot 10, Block 1,
Plat of Seahurst; thence northeasterly along the southeasterly line of lots 10 to
16 inclusive to the southeast corner of said lot 16, Block 1; thence north along
the east line of lot 16 to the southerly margin of Olympic View Drive; thence north-
easterly along the south margin of Olympic View Drive to the northwest eorner ,f
Lot 16, Dobson Park, according to the plat thereof; thence south 111.88 feet to the
southwest corner thereof; thence east 80 feet; thence north 146. 5 feet to the southerly

intersection with the north -south centerline of section 18; thence north to the north
quarter corner, thence north along the centerline of section 7, twp. 27 NR 4 EWM,
to the NW corner of the south half of the southeast quarter of said section, also being
a point on the south line of Talbot Park, according to the recorded plat thereof;
thence easterly along the south line of Talbot Park and the north line of the south half
of the southeast quarter of said section 7 to a point of said north line produced east
with the intersection of the east margin of 76th Ave. West; thence northerly along
the east margin of 76th Ave. West to its intersection with the nortn line of Tract 92,
Plat of Meadowdale Beach according to the recorued plat thereof; thence westerly
along the production of the north line of said tract 9': to the west line of section 8,
twp. 27 NR 4 EWM; thence north along said west line of section 8 to the NW corner
thereof; thence northwesterly to the NE corner of Lot 23, Plat of Meadowdale Tidelalds,
according to the recorded plat thereof; thence westerly along the north line of said
Lot 22 to the NW corner of said Lot 22; thence southwe3terly along the west line of
said plat to the SW corner thereof; thence easterly along the south line of said plat
to the NW corner of Tideland Lot 2, Edmonds Tidelands in Section 7, Twp 27 NR 4 EWM;
thence southwesterly along the westerly line of Edmonds Tidelands to the North line
of the State Harbor Area in Government Lot 2, Sec. 13, Twp 27 NR 3 EWM; thence

State Inner Harbor Line to existing Edmonds corporate limits; thence southeasterly,
easterly, northerly and southerly along the existing Edmonds corporate limits to the
point of beginning;

Commencing at the east quarter corner of section 7, bownship 27 North,
Range 4 East, W. M., and proceeding thence along the centerline of 76th Ave.
West (also known as Meadowdale Road) North 1011145" East 602.27 feet to the true
point of beginning; thence north 61033'10" West 22.50 feet to the point of inter-
section of the westerly line of 76th Avenue West and the southwesterly line of
Brown's Point Road (also known as Bertda Road) as recorded under Auditor's file
No. 733197; thence northwesterly, northerly and northeasterly along the southwesterly,
westerly and northwesterly line of said Brown's Point Road, with the following courses,
curves and distances:

radius of 120.00 feet a distance of 80.69 feet; then north 23001130' west

said plat to the north line of said lot 42; thence easterly along said
north line and the easterly projection thereof, to an int ersect ion with

southwesterly, along said right of way line to the north line of Govt.

of said Brown's Point Road and the projection thereof to its intersection

to the true point of beginning;
be and the same is HEREBY ANNEXED to the City of Edmonds, effective the 23rd
day of August, 1961.
Section 4. That pursuant to the terms of the annexation petition, the owners
of all property within the area annexed hereby are, individually and severally, to be
• assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as other property in said
City of Edmonds to pay for any now outstanding indebtedness of said City, contracted
prior to, or existing at, the date of annexation.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
five days after its passage and publication according to law.
