AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN REAL. PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF
EDMONDS UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF 1907, CHAPTER 228,
(R. C. W. 35.13.180).
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds by Resolution of Intention No. 167 passed
on May 7th, 1963, and Ordinance No. 995, passed on June 18, 1963, did determine
that in the best interests of the public health, s fety and welfare of the citizens of
• the City of Edmonds the abatement of certain existing unsanitary conditions was
necessary, and
WHEREAS, by said Resolution of Intention and Ordinance, the said City
created a Local Improvement District, No. 119, for the installation of lateral sani-
tary sewers to abate said conditions, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the sewer lines under said Local Im-
provement district run in the right-of-way along the west shoulder of Highway 99
(P.S.H. No. 1) from 224th St. S.W. to approximately six hundred feet north of
216th St. S. W., and
WHEREAS, said highway right-of-way area is not presenL,y within the
corporate limits of the City of Edmonds and the City Council of the City of Edmonds
has determined that the said area should be annexed for municipal purposes,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following described real property, located in the
County of Snohomish, State of Washington, to -wit:
Beginning on the present City Limits of Edmonds at the intersection of the
West Margin of P.S.H. No. 1 and the North line of Tract 21, Solnerts 5 Acre Tracts
as recorded in val. 7, page 25, records of Snohomish County; thence east to a point
at a perpendicular distance of 15 feet from the west margin of P.S.H. No. 1; thence
southwesterly parallel to and 15 feet from the west margin of P.S.H. No. 1 to the
• extended north margin of 224th St. S.W.; thence west to the west margin of P.S.H.
No. 1; thence northeasterly along said west margin to the point of beginning;
should be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Edmonds.
Section 2. _ That the annexation herein provided for is advisable and nee-
essary for the municipal purposes of the public health, safety and welfare of the
citizens of the City of Edmonds.
