AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12.15.140 OF
THE EDMONDS CITY CODE BY EXTENDING THE PERIOD
OF ABATEMENT OF NON CONFORMING USES OF PROPERTY
UNDER THE 7ONIL,G ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OP
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AND INCLUDING THEREIN
THE IP CLASSIFICATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Edmonds City Code, Section 12.15.140
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sction 12.15.140 Abatement or Required Conform-
ance of Uses Other Than Those Eligible for Condi-
tional Use Permit. Regardless of any other provision
of this Ordinance, except Section 12.15.150, every
BN, BC, CW, CG, IP or other commercial use which, after
the adoption of this Ordinance, exists as a noncon-
forming use in any RS-20, RS-12, ROW-12, RS-8, RS-6,
RD, RML, RAGi or OS District, shall be discontinued
within 15 years after the date this Ordinance becomes
effective, revert to a conforming use and it shall be
discontinued and removed and any further use or the
property shall be changed to a use permitted in the
district. Further, regardless of any other provision
of this ordinance except Section 12.15.150 in any
RS-20, RS-12, RSW-12, RS-B, RS-6, RD, RMH RML or
OS zone classification. any nonconforming use of
premises which is not in a building shall be discon-
tinued within a period of three years from the date
this ordinance shall become effective, and any fur-
ther use of the property shall be in conformance with
the zone classification in which it is then located."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take full force and
effect five days after its passage and publication as provided
by law.
