AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS* WASHINGTON
AMENDING SECTIONS 3 AND 6 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1299,
CLARIFYING THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE ANNEXED
PROPERTY THEREIN DESCRIBED AND EXTENDING THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, the legal description set forth in that
annexation Ordinance No. 1299, passed on May 2, 1967, is in need
of a technical clarification which does not change the bound —
cries of the annexed area, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDSi WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1299 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"Section 3. The Territory proposed by said Petition
to be annexed to said City of Edmonds is situate in
the County of Snohomish in the State of Washington, is
contiguous, proximate and adjacent to the present cor—
porate limits of said City, and is particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Tract 134,
Plat of Meadowdale Beach; thence north along the
east city limits line of the City of Edmonds to
the northwest corner of Lot 1, Double DD Ranch
Addition No. 2; thence easterly along the south
boundary of Tract 115 and Tract 114, Plat of
Meadowdale Beach and the south end of 64th Avenue
West to Olympic View Drive, the westerly boundary line
of the City of Lynnwood; thence southwesterly along the
westerly city limits line of the City of Lynnwood
to its intersection with the south boundary of the
Meadowdale Beach Road; thence northwesterly to the
north boundary of 174th Street S.W. (the south
boundary of Tract 134)1 thence westerly to the point
of beginning."
Section 2. Section 6 of Ordinance No. 1299 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"Section 6. The area annexed hereby shall become a
part of the City of Edmonds, and this Ordinance shall
take effect and be in force an the 29th day of. May,
1967."
