AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE OFFICIAL STREET MAP ADOPTED BY
SECTION 12.03.080 OF THE EDMONDS CITY CODE, AS
AMENDED, BY REDUCING THE WIDTH OF THE PROPOSED
RIGHT-OF-WAY ON EIGHTH AVENUE NORTH BETWEEN
CASPERS STREET AND DALEY STREET FROM SIXTY FEET
TO FIFTY FEET, PURSUANT TO PLANNING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 422.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Planning Commission Resolution No.
422, the City Council of the City of Edmonds called a public
hearing regarding a proposed amendment to the official street
map reducing the width of the proposed right-of-way from sixty
(60) feet to fifty (50) feet on Eighth Avenue North between
Caspers Street and Delay Street, and
WHEREAS, after due consideration of existing and future
neighborhood and traffic conditions, and the general safety,
welfare and health of the public, and pursuant to the Planning
Commission recommendation, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Official Street Map adopted by Section
12.03.080 of the Edmonds City Code, as amended, is hereby
further amended by reducing the width of a portion of a projected
right-of-way, commonly known as Eighth Avenue North between
Caspers Street and 110 feet north of Daley Street from sixty (60)
feet to fifty (50) feet, as depicted on Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and hereby incorporated in full by this reference.
Section 2. The City Engineer is hereby directed to
amend Reid Middleton and Associates' drawing No. 1.559, Sheet 8
—56-
Section 24 of the Official Street Map of the City of Edmonds
to depict a reduction in width of the projected public right-
of-way on said street map as described in Section 1 hereinabove.
