Ordinance 2006ORDINANCE NO. 2006 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, BY CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY FROM MULTIPLE - FAMILY LOW DENSITY, (RML) TO NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS (BN), PURSUANT TO PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 595. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, Washington, pursuant to Planning Commission Resolution No. 595, called a public hearing, and at the conclusion of said hearing having determined as follows: 1. That the proposed zoning change conforms with the intent of the comprehensive plan; 2. That the property represents a small pocket of multiple residential zoning surrounded to the north, south and east by commercial zoning; 3. That because of the topography, surrounding uses and access, the property is not suitable for residential development; 4. That the proposed zoning will not be detrimental to the public health, safety, morals or welfare; 5. That the subject property is better suited for the proposed zoning; 6. That there are no significant adverse environ- mental impacts to the surrounding properties either within or without the jurisdiction of the City of Edmonds which will be directly affected by the proposed use of the property; now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Official Zoning Map Of Edmonds, Washington, be and the same is hereby amended by changing the zoning classification of the real property described hereinafter from Multiple -Family, Low Density (RML) to Neighborhood Business (BN) all situtate in the City of Edmonds, Snohomish County, Washington, and more particularly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein as if set forth in full. Section 2. The Director of Community Development is hereby directed to effectuate the neccessary amendments to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds, Washington, pursuant to this ordinance.
