ORDINANCE NO. 2690
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 3.04.020 OF THE EDMONDS CITY
CODE TO INCREASE THE ADVANCE TRAVEL EXPENSE
REVOLVING FUND TO THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS
($3,000) AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council has established the Advance
Travel Expense Fund in order to make advance payments for the
necessary travel expenses of City officials and employees which
are in excess of One Hundred Dollars ($100), and
WHEREAS, that Fund has a balance limit of One Thousand
Dollars ($1,000), and
WHEREAS, the Council finds it appropriate to increase
said amount to Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000) in order to
provide for the more orderly prepayment of expenses, NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 3.04.020 Initial Appropriation -
Replenishment is hereby amended to read as follows:
3.04.020 Initial Appropriation - Replenishment.
There is appropriated and there shall be transfered
from the general fund no. .001 the amount of three
thousand dollars ($3,000) to the advance travel expense
revolving fund. From time to time, as the fund is
depleated by advance payments for travel expenses, the
fund will be replenished by warrant or budgetary
transfers in the appropriate city department in the
amount necessary to maintain said fund balance.

Section 2. This ordinance, being an administrative
action, is not subject to referendum and shall take effect five
(5) days after this ordinance or a summary thereof consisting of
the title is published.
