ORDINANCE NO. 2823
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF EDMONDS CITY CODE
SECTION 7.30.040 RELATING TO UTILITY CHARGES TO
ADOPT NEW SEWER RATES TO BE EFFECTIVE MARCH 1,
1991 AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds is in the process of
constructing a new secondary sewage treatment facility; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2657, section 3 established a
bimonthly rate for connective single family residents of $36.20
commencing March 1, 1991 and provided that all other rates should
be set proportionately at a level necessary to achieve compliance
with the coverage covenants of outstanding water and sewer
revenue bonds; and
THEREFORE,
WHEREAS, such rates may now be estimated; NOW,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Edmonds City Code, section 7.30.040
Utility Charges, paragraphs A and B thereof are hereby amended to
read as follows:
A. For customers who are served by City waterlines,
the following bimonthly charges are imposed:

Section 2. This ordinance, being an exercise of a
power specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not
subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after
passage and publication of the ordinance or a summary thereof
consisting of the title.
