ORDINANCE NO. 2847
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING EDMONDS CITY CODE 8.48.150(A) TO
INCLUDE SATURDAYS AS A DAY WHEN PARKING IS NOT
PROHIBITED, AND EDMONDS CITY CODE 8.64.050(A) TO
PROHIBIT PARKING ON BOTH SIDES OF 102ND PLACE
WEST FROM SR 104 (EDMONDS WAY) TO ITS TERMINUS
AT WOODWAY HIGH SCHOOL BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00
A.M. TO 3:00 P.M. MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY SO THAT THE ORDINANCE
BECOMES EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UPON PASSAGE.
WHEREAS, parking problems have become acute around the
area of the former entrance to the Woodway High School,
particularly when school is in session, and
WHEREAS, school will soon be in session and the
residents in the area will be affected by the parking problems,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
Edmonds City Code 8.48.150 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
8.48.150 STOPPING STANDING OR PARKING
PROHIBITED DURING CERTAIN HOURS ON CERTAIN
STREETS
A. When signs are erected in each block,
giving notice thereof, no person shall
stop, stand or park a vehicle between the
hours specified in Section 8.64.050(A) of
any day except Sundays, Saturdays and the
public holidays specified in Section
8.48.140 above, within the district or
upon any of the streets described in
Section 8.64.050(A).

B. When signs are erected in each block
giving notice thereof, no person shall
stop, stand or park a vehicle between the
hours specified in Section 8.64.050(B) of
any day whatsoever within the district or
upon any of the streets described in
Section 8.64.050(B).
Section 2. Edmonds City Code 8.64.050 is
amended to read as follows:
8.64.050 SCHEDULEy--ST_OPPING. STANDING OR
PARKING DURING CERTAIN HOURS ON CERTAIN
STREETS PROHIBITED
A. In accordance with Section 8.48.150 and
when signs are erected giving notice
thereof, no person shall stop, stand or
park a vehicle between the hours

except Sundays, Saturdays, and holidays,
within the district or upon any of the
streets or parts of streets as follows:

sunset.
Section 3. The City Council hereby declares that an
emergency exists necessitating that this ordinance take effect
immediately upon passage by unanimous vote of the members of the
City Council for the immediate preservation of public peace,
health and safety.
