Ordinance 31290006.150.003 PAO /gjz 10/30/96 ORDINANCE NO. 3129 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, REZONING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED AT THE STEVENS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FROM RM 2.4 AND CG 2 TO MU, MEDICAL USE ZONE, PROVIDING A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE. WHEREAS, on November 4, 1996, the Edmonds City Council held a hearing regarding the rezone of property generally located at the Stevens Memorial Hospital and legally described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated by this reference as if set forth in full, and WHEREAS, the property described above lies in an area that is characterized by hospital facilities, and WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a new zoning district designated a Medical Use Zone, which is specifically designed for hospital facilities, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the property described above serves as a suitable location for this new zoning district, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Certain real property generally located at the Stevens Memorial Hospital and legally described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated by this reference as if set forth in full, is hereby rezoned from RM 2.4 and CG2 to MU, Medical Use Zone. 146579 -1- Section 2. Severability. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance. Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifi- cally delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after passage and publication of an approved summary thereof consisting of the title.
