ORDINANCE NO. 3137
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, ADDING A NEW SECTION 8.64.065(7) TO
THE EDMONDS CITY CODE IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THAT
PARKING SHALL BE LIMITED TO THREE HOURS ON
BOTH SIDES OF ADMIRAL WAY FROM THE
INTERSECTION OF ADMIRAL WAY WITH DAYTON
STREET AND 2,300 FEET SOUTH THEREFROM, AND
FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, there has been a shortage of parking along Admiral Way south of
its intersection with Dayton Street due to the parking of vehicles for extended periods of time,
and
WHEREAS, numerous vehicles are also parked overnight, and
WHEREAS, the Edmonds City Council has determined that the best way to make
parking more reasonably available to the general public along the aforementioned portion of
Admiral Way is to limit parking to three hours at any one time, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A new Section 8.64.065(7) is hereby added to the Edmonds City Code
to provide as follows:

8.64.065 Schedule VI -A — Parking Time Limited for Certain
Periods of Time on Certain Streets.
In accordance with Section 8.48.155 and when signs are erected
giving notice thereof, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle
for the period of time longer than the number of hours set forth
below, or between the hours set forth below:
7 Both sides of Admiral Way
from its intersection with
Dayton Street and south thereof
to the end of the public
right -of -way (approximately 2,300
feet).
Three hours maximum
at any one time.
Section 2. Severability. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this
ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other
section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifi-
cally delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect
five (5) days after passage and publication of an approved summary thereof consisting of the
title.
