WHEREAS, the Edmonds City Council deemed it appropriate to extend the life
of the Commission for an additional twelve months and approved Ordinance 3808 on October 5,
2010, thus extending the sunset date of the Economic Development Commission to December

WHEREAS, the Edmonds City Council deemed it appropriate to extend the life
of the Commission for an additional 120 days and approved Ordinance 3868 on December 20,

Powers and duties.
A. *rhe commission is empowered to advise and make recommendations to the mayor and city
council, and as appropriate to the planning commission., n, architectural design board or other!
boards or commissions of the city on such matters as may be specifically referred to the
commission by the mayor or city council ineluding but not limited to.

B. The commission shall deliver an annual report to the city council in written and oral'form
on or about the first meeting in December of every year, and when appropriate, during other

t> The Edmonds economic development commission may from time to time provide its
reports and recommendations regarding strategies for economic development and other smatters
that will improve commercial viability, tourist: development and activity within the city. The
planning board and economic development commission shall snake joint recommendations on
such sub ects to the city council on or about the first meeting in December.
