1942-04-21 Council MinutesApril 21, 1942.
The Council met in regular session with Mayor -V'ourtner persiding. The roll
call showed the following Councilmen present: H.A.Chandler, H.T.Roscoe,W.H.
Hanson, C.Savage, 17.Hanen, 17.Clausen and V.T.Jones. The minutes of the last
meeting were read and'approved.
The`Stevens Lumber Co. to inform him what should be done about the bond
for materials for L.I.D.No.53.
On motion the Council desided to have the bond continued.
The buss parking zone established in front of the drug store and theP.S.
Power and Light Co9. came upfor discushen. After it had beeb thrased.p:ro and
con for a long time the question was refured to the Street Committe•fortheir
them to make an investigation and report at the next meeting of the Council
Fred Pickett, representiong the American Ligen, requested the Council
to pave the north side of Dayton Street in front of their property with
bituminous cement. The Mayor informed him that it was out of the question at
the present time,because the State Authorities would not allow us to use any
more gass money this year.
On motion the City Clerk was instructed to have'the light blacked out
from the supply room.

�` At the request of the Chief of Police the Council a loading and unload-

There being no; further business on motion the Council adjourned.

On motion the Uouncil ordered the
water turned on at the 5hellabarger
house.
The Directors of School District
No. 15,so Uouncilman Hanson, says have
turned the Field House over to the
soldiers for a place of amusement.
The womans club, so Councilmafi"Hanson says, wants the City to furnish
light, water and fuel. The Coucil on motion agreed to furnish light, gater
and,fuel to the amount not exceeding $20,00 per month.
The Mayor reported that Mr. Coston wanted water at his plase east of
h1inVi Avenue.On motion the Council
desided-to pay the differance between a
3/4 inch line and an inch line and
Ma. Coston to lay the line with out
expense to the City.
