The City Engineer presented the final assessment on L.1,D,Bo.50and the total
cost to be §2,110,67.
And the total cost on L.I.D.No.51 to btu �29020,14.
A deligation from north Edmonds appeared before the Council and requested
the Council to furnish them with City water. On motion the request was refured,
to the Vlater Committe. b°
,On motion the City Clerk was instructed to.'pay the 1935 and 1936 taxes
on lots 39 and 40 in Block 679 amount $ C V
On motion the Mayor was instructed to contact S.J.Perine about gass
masker.
.The, Policle Judge requested the Council to purchase him a new Police Docket.
On motion the Council instructed the Police Judge to purchase the kind of
Docket he wanted.
Mrs. Floyd Woodfield asked what the Council wanted for the platforms
on which the W.P.A. made the concret posts ono On motion the Council desided
to sell the for §5,00 a piece.
On motion the City Clerk was instructed` get a priority rating for 50 ft
of 10 inch steel pipe, a 150 gallon pump and 3000 feet of 4 inch concrete
asbestose pipe.
On motion the Coueil desided to combine the positions of Water Superin-
tendent and Street Superintendent as on and pay $150.900 per month for the
combined position, and that the position should be giventto a younger man.
On motion the Council desided to pay 75 cents per hour for labor.
On motion the Council instructed the Water`Committe to get an expert pump
mancto see that the pumps are kept in proper condition and instruct the Water
Superintendent how to;:.zeep the in proper condition o
On motion the Council adjoured.

The Council met in regular session with Mayor l'ourtner.presiding. The roll
call' showed the. following Councilmen presenr: H.A.Chendl,er, R.T.Roacoe.,- WOO.
Hanson, C.Savage, W.Hansen, W.Clausen and VI.T.,Jones. The minutes of the last
and special meetings were read and approved.
Mr. Per ne•requested the Coucil'to give the Boy Scouts'permission�to store
paper dhn one of the City Garages. The,Mayor informed him that the City,GarLges
are; fully occupied.
On -motion the Street Committe-was instructed to have the weeds and grass
mowed that is in the streets.
The ;Vlater Committe recommended that if the parties th.o' North Edmonds who wauit-
City' water would dig the ditch and refill it the Coty Coun'OU would see that
they got City-yiater..

The Water Commissioner reported that he was laying the water line from the
south.Hdmonds pump to the high tank. The Water Committe instructed him to lay
the pipe to Ninth stree and then lay the ballance north on°N.inth-street.
Complaint was.made libout the garbage being put .on the sidewalk by the
Safeway Store. On motion the City Clerk was instructed to notify the°Safeway
Store to remove their boxes and barels off the sidewalk with in 48 hours or
the City would doi':.° it. and charge them the cost of removal.
It was moved by Chandl-ex and seconded.by Hanson that the_Council extend
a vote of thanks to the -Standard Oil Company for the loan of a pump which was
used inan emergency.
As the City Attorney is proseeding to forecloseon Lots 33, 34, 35, 36
and 37 in Block 87, the owner offered $1000,00 as settlement of the Cities
claim. On motion the Council desided to consider the offer pending foreclosure
proceedings.
There being no."further business on motion the Council adjourned.
