The Council met in regular seesion. with Mayor Fourtner presiding. The roll
call showed the following,Councilmen present, Chandler, Roscoe, McGibbon,
Savage, Jones_., Hansen and Clausen.

The minutes,,of the f,&�J-n•g meeting. and the corrections were made . A
motion was made by Save.ge and seconded by Hansen that the following bills
which were approved by the finance committee be allowed,_W,! C. Hansen, $26
for mileage and killing -one dog, Earl McDonald $26 for special police,
Ray McKeever, $52 on water fund, and 36 on the street fund. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Savage and seconded by Clausen that the Attorney
write to Helen Garretson and offer,her $200 for a of an acre of property
in South Edmonds near the water tank. Motion carried.
Councilman Hansen reported on the sewer. He is to again contact the
property owners and report at'the next meeting of the Council
Oscar Johnson came before the,Council-and reported on the unsanitary con-
dition at the George Law property, that the property had not been connected
to the sewer and his tenant was still living there. The Attorney adzised
having the. Health Officer investigate.the.condition then have the Chief of
Police enforce the Ordinance.
Mr. Luithle came before the Council and asked if the City.would stand the
expense of and Engineer -to establish a grade for the sidewalks. at eighth
and Bell Streets, where his property_is located. No.action was taken.
Superintendent Doty reported that 540 feet of pipe had been laid on South
Edmonds. He also reported that the -ditch around the South Edmonds well had
been completed acid was'ready for inspection by the State Health Department.
Mayor Fourtner reported a resident of Edmonds was willing to pay for the
installing of a drinking fountain in the City Jail.
