the hearing on assessment roll # 1911" 70 be set forlJ6-Eembi5r fl.8. Motion carried.
Councilman Vollan, chairman of the Code committee reported on the complaint made by
mrs. Boshart about the growthon the property adjoining her property, stating that
there was not much we could do unless we enforced the ordinance.
A motion was made by -Councilman Tucker andseconded by councilman Vollan that the
Code Committee be instructed to investigate and bring in a recommendation in regards
to the hieghth of fences. Motion carried.
A motion was made by councilman Tucker to authorize the endi.neer to mark trees to
be removed on the east part -of the Yost acre track which are.obstructing the view
of residents. Motion.recei.ved no second.
Attorney Holte reported on the information he has obtained in regards to Curfew laws
He stated the Everett Curfew law -wis a -fery good one. This was referred to the safety committee
for consideration.
A motion was made by councilman Vollin and seconded by councilman Tucker that
Councillran.Maxwell write to the State Highway Department informing them that we are
going to install our traffic light at the corner of Third and Iti2ain Streets. Motion
carried.

The Council met for its regular session with Mayor McGibbon presiding. The roll
°call showed the following councilmen present Tucker, Tuson, Vollan, Engles, Maxwell,
Holmquist and McGinness.
The water collectors report was read to the Co until.
A motion was made by councilman Maxv1ell and seconded by councilman McGinness that
the bills which were approved by the auditing committee be allowed, except 4n
engineer bills on the L, I.. Ds. Motion carried.
A motion was made by councilman Tucker and seconded by councilman Maxwell that the
hearing be set for November 18 for the rezoning of the property owned by Mr. Irving
on Fifth Avenue south, described as Lot 12 in block 2, City Park Addition'to Edmond;.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by councilman McGinness and seconded by councilman Maxwell that the
Clerk write a letter to Mr. Nelson informing him that the grade has been established
on Pine street and is on file at the office. Motion carried.
A motion -was mad e by councilman Vollan and seconded by councilman Maxwell that the
Clerk write a letter to Mr. Cysewski, District Traffic Engineer, thanking him for
the installation of the light on Third and Main street. Motion carried.
A motion was made by councilman Vollan and seconded by councilman Tucker that a letter
be written to the Legion thanking them for their efforts of serving coffee and trans—
portation for the voters on election day. Motion carried.

The Treasurers report was read for the month of October.
The was the night set for the hearing on the rezoning'of the property in Block 12
lot 12 City Park addition of Edmonds, there being no one opposing the rezoning a
-motion was made by Councilman Tucker and seconded by councilman Tuson that this
property be rezoned for business, with a change of the disrciption to the property
line on the alley. Motion carried.
