Attorney Holte notify Mr. Cochran that he must replace the curb which was damaged,
within 10 days. .Motion carried.
A motion was made by councilman McGinness and seconded by councilman Maxwell that 11/.
to instruct Mr. Meying to establish the grade and set the stakes on second avenue
from Edmonds street to the north dead end, the street committee was given Ver-
mission to netiotate-on the price. Motion carried.
A motion was made by councilman McGinness and seconded by councilman Maxwell that
the Supt. be authorized to purchase sufficient pipe for the culvert on ninth &
Daley street and install same. Motion carried-.
The Street Supt. was instructed to fill the hole and grade at ninth & Daley street.
Councilman 2:aMarelds' reparted that t e traffic condition at the Ferry dock was taken
care of by the directing of traffic 49 Sunset Avenue.
A motion was made by councilman Vollan and seconded by councilman Maxwell that Earl
Morrison, Don Lawson and Don Tuson were z elected to serve on the Code and Zoning
committee. Motion carried.
A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Kincaid that
the,sprinkling rate for the four summer months be the same as last year, for 150
per hundred cubic foob, over,the minnimum charge. Motion carried.
Mayor McGibbon report on the replacement of pipe on Main street from sixth avenue to
Eighth avenue, Maple Street from eighth to ninth and 200 feet west from eighth and
Cedar street, that we will need 350 feet of six inch pipe, with an estimated cost
for labor and additional pipe of $2500. This was made a moXtion by Councilman
Maxwell with a second from councilman Tuson. Motion carried.
A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Tuson that the
proper officials be authorized to sign the easement for the Standard Oil Co., to
lay a pipe line across certain pieces of property. Motion carried.

The Council met for its regular session with Mayor McGibbon presiding. The roll
call showed the following councilmen present Thson, Kincaid, Vollan Engels,
Maxwell and McGinness.
The watereollectors report was read to the council
A motion was made by councilman McGinness and seconded by councilman Maxwell that the
bills which were approved by the auditing committee be allowed and warrants be drawn
on the proper funds. Motion carried.
The newly elected officers signed their oath's of office.
The letter from Mr, Frederickson protesting the sewer was referredto the street
Committee.
Two bids were received for the bonds on the Fire truck,.one from the State of
Washington who bid par with 3% interest and one from the First National Bank of
Everett with interest at 314%. A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded
by councilman Kincaid to accept the bid from the State of Washington who bid par
and accrued interest with interest payable semi-annually at 3% per annum. Motion
carried.
A motion was made by councilman McGinness and seconded by councilman %ason that the
Mayor and Clerk execute the deed to A. J. Armes,, for property which he purchased and
paid on a contract. Motion carried.
Attorney Holte reported he is.: : },hepr�c�s�ric��� the County to lay a sewer
line on the east side of Olympic avenue and one for seventh avenue north. A motion
was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by Councilman McGinness that the Mayor
sign the petition for the sewer franchise. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Councilman Vollan and seconded by councilman Maxwell that the
addition th the City Code changing the precincts boundaries to seventh avenue be
passed. Motion carried,
A motion was made by councilman Vollan and secondedby councilman Tuson for regulating
the h6ight to fences within the city of Edmonds. A vote showed three yes and three no.
A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Kincaid tha$A the
amendment to the City Code, for the destruction of caterpillays, be passed. Motion carried.
A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Vollan that the
two hours parking area include Main street from the waterfront to third avenue. Motion
carried...
Councilman Vollan chairman of the Bldg .Cow reported that the building occupied by
Reynolds"studio is Q.K. for repair work.
A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman vollan to authorize
the park board to. expend $125 for a new mower. Motion carried.
A motion was made by councilman Vollan and seconded by councilman Tuson that permission
be given to hire a building inppector on a salary of•$65•per month and the attorney
