Engineer Reid proceed with obtaining an.easement across the necessary,property for
the outfall disposal system. Motion carried.
Mr. Van Sullivan came before.the council in.regards to the city purchasing his
�. property on Dayton Street for a sewer disppsal plant.. His price is $5000 an acre.
Mayor McGibbon assured him that we. would get in touch with him in about a week,.
A motion was made by councilman Tuson and seconded by councilman Talen that they '
city purchase fuel oil for the City Hall from Sater & Ridenour for 1955. Motion carried.
A motion.waas made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Bishop that the
City call for bids for the blanket Liability insurance, bids to be opened Jan. 4.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by councilman Maxwell dnd seconded by councilman McGinness that,
,Attorney Holte draw up the salary ordinance -,for 1955. Motion carried. .

The Council met for its regular session with Mayor McGibbon presiding. The
roll call showed the following councilmen present Tuson, Talon, Kincaid, Bishop
Maxivell and McGinness.
The water collectors report was read to the council.
A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Talon that the
bills which were approved by the auditing committee be allowed and warrants be
drawn on the proper funds. Motion carried.
A motion was made. by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Talon that
interest warrant #8.,be issued to Metcalf and Thompson, for $3174.89, due on the
final estimate, still withholding 15%.. Motion carried.
� letter was read to the council from the`.chairman of the library Board, Francis E.
Anderson, submitfing the name of Hallic B. Anderson for the approval for reappointment
to the library board. Upon the donformation of the appointment by Mayor McGibbon
a motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Tuson approving
this conformp.tion. Motion carried.
The application of Louise Johnson for a license tbo'operate a taxi cab for 1955 was
referred to the chairman of the safety committee Gordon Maxwell.
-One bid was received for BlanketcLiability Insurance and a letter stating not enough
time was given to make up this bid. A motion was made by councilman McGinness
and seconded by councilman Bishop that a call for bids be publish in the paper Jan. 13
and 20.. Bids to be opened February 1. Motion carried.
Mayor McGibbon recommended we offer 55000 for all of Mr. Sullivan property. A motion
was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Tuson that.we offer Mr.
Sullivan 5000 for his 3.6 acres of property. Motion carried.
The water committee recommended we pay$55 to Jim Reid due for engineer, for legal
descriptions, on.the sewer disposal plant site. This was made a motion by Councilman
Maxwell and seconded by councilman Talon. Motion carried.
A motion was made by councilman Kincaid and seconded by councilman Maxwell. Engineer
Reid be paid $4724.26 for engineer fees to date not including fees for final assessment
roll, for L. I. D. #74. Mo-tion carried.
A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Talon that Interest
bear -mg warrant #9 be issued in the amount of $8500.00 the balance of the fixed estimate.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Tuson that the
hearing for the final assessment on L. I. D. #74 be set for February 15. Motion carried.
The street committee recommended that Floyd E. Nissen be appointed Street Supt. Mayor
McGibbon made the appointment.
