to address the dandelion weed control in late April and again in July.
Old Business:
Cemetery Update -Carrie Hite:
Since Carrie had nothing new to report, she will instead come to the May meeting. Budget issues will
be addressed in June and July.
Distribution of Cemetery brochures:
Rich took brochures to Edmonds United Methodist Church, Patrick took some to Holy Rosary, and Dale
will take some to the Alderwood Heritage Assoc. Cottage.
Saturday Market, May 11th:
Lisa will do the handouts for the Sat. Market. Joyce and Melissa will be there from 8:30-11:30. Sally
will be there from 10:00-1:00, and Lisa and Melinda from 11:30-2:30.
Melinda will take the Cemetery Banners to Fast Signs to get the dates changed for the Memorial Day and
Walk Back In Time events.

The table is free since we are a non-profit organization. Melissa will set up and be there from
10:00-12:00, Joyce from 12:00-2:00, and Cliff will be there all day. They will have on the table
CRAZE booklets, Museum brochures, the Memorial Day and WBIT handouts, and cemetery pens.
myedrnondsnews.com update:
Melissa reported that if we expand our ad to include Mt. Lake Terrace and Lynnwood, it would cost
$1400. We decided to stay with the Edmonds site ad for $633 a year.
Memorial Day Planning_
Dale, Patrick, Sally, and Melissa = The Memorial Day Committee. The Speaker will be Tom Hallum
from the VFW who was in the Army in Korea. All is going well with the planning.
New Business:
Museum Planning Meeting Report:
Melissa attended the Museum meeting. The Cemetery Board will become a member of the Museum
Board.
They talked about marketing and partnering between the two groups. The Cemetery Board is welcome
to add articles to the Museum Newsletter.
Customer Evaluations:
Melissa reported that we started the evaluations in January of 2012. All, except two, comments have
been positive. Cliff has been given high accolades for his personal service. Melissa will bring a
spreadsheet of the results to the next meeting.
Walk Back In Time, July 18th:
We will do costumes again. We will also ask extra people to come back to be ghosts. We should think
about other people to invite to participate as other ghosts.
Announcements:

Brenda Powell, Sally's sister, made a $100. donation to the Memorial Gift Fund. Melissa will send her
a Thank You card.

Joyce Donaldson has submitted her application to become a new Board member.
Sally asked how to get the Memorial Day and the WBIT events put on the Chamber of Commerce
calendar? Rich will look into it and also to get the Cemetery listed in the Chamber of Commerce
Buiness Listing for Cemeteries.
Melissa wants the Board to purchase a plaque for Bob Stevenson's service on the Cemetery Board. It
will be purchased out of the miscellaneous fund and will be presented by the Mayor on Memorial Day.
