Someone ran a car into the Hard Top Canopy damaging it; Cliff was able to repair the structure however sometime in the future he will need to order a new top for it. It is functional for now. Carrie Hite would like us to make an announcement at the Memorial Day Ceremony about the new Veterans Plaza dedication at the Public Safety Complex scheduled for 1pm on Monday May 26th. The Cemetery irrigation system has been turned on; Flowers will be planted by the City Flower Program. Staff Report • Thank you to Rich Lindsay for working with the Finance Department to make the changes that the board requested on our Transaction Summary. • The damaged fence along 1001h has been repaired. • Rich will continue to seek bids for the Cemetery Survey Project; estimated timing for beginning this project is in 2015. Old Business Discussed the upcoming Memorial Day Ceremony and worked on more details for the day. Discussed the Walk Back in Time; Patrick Kelly's daughter is helping to research some women for our presentation. We will need to schedule a couple of extra meetings to plan the WBinT for July. New Business • Senior Health Fair - was successful for us to have a booth; a fair amount of people stopped by with questions • It was decided that the Mountlake Terrace HS Health Fair is not a good venue for us to have a booth at; the event was poorly attended and not many people stopped by our booth. We were handing out flyers advertising Memorial Day and the Walk Back in Time. Announcements Dale Hoggins let us know that the new Commander of the VFW Post #8870 Is Jim Blossey.
