Tuesday September 10, 1957
The Council met for its recessed meeting with Mayor Maxwell presiding, with
the following Councilmen present Tuson, Sorensen, Kincaid, Cloud and Purton.
Four bids were received for the lavatory rooms to be built at the City Park.
They are as follows: Metropolitan Construction Co., $2630.00

A motion was made by Councilman Sorensen and seconded by Councilman Tuson that
the bid from Luschen Bros., be awarded. Motion carried.
A letter was received from the Sliest Coast Telephone Compphy in regards to extending
a cable line at 84th West and,)owdoin Way. This was referred to Supervisor Don
Lawson.
A petition signed by the property owners on Tenth Avenue from Bell to Edmonds
Streetwas turned over to Attorney Holte.
Permission was allowed the Lions glob to use the Ball Field at the City Park,
for a circus, September 23, by a motion made by Councilman Tuson and seconded
by Councilman Cloud. Motion carried.
A letter was read from L. T. Irvine, asking for permission to have a trailer
Court on his property. -This w$s turned over to the Planning Commission for re-
(zoning)of his property.
A motion was made byaCouncilman Cloud and seconded by Councilman Sorensen that the
bills from Venne Beauchamp, for estimate #4, in the amount of $36,837.21, Sewer
Disposal Plant, and estimate #1 $3838.68, for the Sunset Lift Station, be paid.
Motion carried.
The Mayor and City Council proceeded to make up.the Preliminary Budget for 1958.

The Council h ving completed a prelims

The Council met for its regular session with Mayor Maxwell presiding. The roll call
shwoed the following Councilmen present Tuson, Sorensen, Cloud, Kincaid and Purton.
The Treasurerls report was read to the Council and filed.
A letter was read from Mr. Rolvert Dority, 233 Third Avenue, requesting permission to
install curbs and driveway approaches, to his property (150 feet), also that the Engineer-
ing Dept. establksh the grade and location, at no cost to him. A motion was made by
Councilman Kincaid and seconded by Councilman Sorensen that he be allowed to make this
installation under the supervision of the City Supervisor and the Engineer is to give
Mr. Dority the grade. Motion carried,
A letter was read from Mr. M. H. Lee, residing at 137 Sunset Avenue, asking for per-
mission to put Cedar Siding on the North and South sides of his dwelling. A motion was
made by Councilman Tuson and seconded by Councilman Sorensen that he be allowed this
