Recessed mLttng was called to order with all councilman present except Harrison.and Tuson.
Motion was made by Councilman Lambe, seconded by Councilman Simpson that emergency
Ordinance 862 be passed. Roll call vote as follows:
Lambe - Yes
Simpson - Yes
Christensen - Yes
Sorenson - Yes
Slye - Yes Motion. carried.
/ Motion was made by Councilman Slye, seconded by Councilman Lambe that Ord. 864, relating
to pic_nball machines be passed. Motion carried.
There was no further business and the meeting adjourned.

January 3, 1961
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Maxwell with all councilman present except Tuson.
There was a discussion on the qualifications for and the duties of the newly created Sup-
ertendent of Public Works position. It was agreed that the position should be supervisory
with some engineering background desirable.
Motion was:�made by Councilman Lambe, seconded by Councilman Slye that the regular monthly
bills be paid and warrants drawn on the proper funds. Motion carried.
Council also agreed to approve paying some = b•rils on January 17th.
Motion was made by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Lambe that the two "Little Metro"
bills be paid as follows.- Great Northern Railway Co. - $272.00 and Transport Clearings - $100.00.
Motion carried.
Motion was made by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Christensen that the Hall &
Bennett bill on LID #102 in the amount of $125.00 be paid. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Councilman Slye to authorize issuance of
interest -bearing warrants to Southwick -Campbell & Co., Inc. in the amount of $11,428.55 to
cover estimate #6 submitted by Murphy Brothers, Inc., contractors on LID 197. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Slye that Est. #1 from Johnson
Engineering Company in the amount of $3,553.00 on LID #103 be paid. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Slye that the Hall & Benett bill
in the amount of $265.20 for attorney°s expense in 1960 be paid. Motion carried.
A letter from E. L. Sallee was.read in which he ask that a culvert be installed between Dayton
and Maple. The letter was referred to the Street Committee for a future report.
Notion was made by Councilman Simpson seconded by Councilman Christensen that Resolution #34
�m the Planning Commission be adopted and a change in the zoning map should be made in accord-
.e with the resolutiov. Motion carried.

authorized to enter into a contract with Dan Miller & Associates for work on the new Civic
