Whereas it is appropriate and desirable that.a
i community should accord public recognition for outstanding
public service rendered by individual citizens;
Whereas Qordon Maxwell, immediate past Mayor
and former Councilman of Edmonds has earned such recog-
nition for his long and distinguished service to the City
of Edmonds and to its people;

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council
of the City of Edmonds that:
Qordon Maxwell, by these presents is hereby
publicly commended and thanked by the City of Edmonds and
its citizens for his long and distinguished service in
official capacities, for his loyal and unselfish devotion
to the duties of office, for his personal sacrifices in {
